A Paradise We Have

We all know how dangerous climate change is and how it is acting today. Climate change is a big threat to our world and to us too. We might not notice it but little by little it is destroying our home. So we must act now or it’ll be too late. Everyone is affected so no one is exempted from acting to prevent climate change although it is already happening but, we can still stop it or else it’ll be our end. There are already some projects that are implemented to help stop or prevent climate change but still, there is no one following it. So as creatures who share the same place as the others, we should also do our part to save it from being ruined by our undisciplined acts.

We, from Camarin High School (CHS) are also doing our part as students. We’ve thought of some projects that might help stop climate change. The project is named “My Pet, My Plant Program”. This program is making a tree your pet, so as an owner, you have to take care of it and guide it on your own like growing a pet dog. We’re aiming for the children in elementary schools or kindergartens because we want to teach them while they’re young on how important planting trees are and taking care of them. I used this photo because it shows the most perfect environment. It has tall green trees and a clean river which really shows a perfect environment. We need more of these places to prevent climate change and by making the “My Pet, My Plant Program” successful. Philippines has over 104 million people living in it and almost half of it are still children which makes our program suitable for the given situation. Teaching the young ones on how to take care of the environment will also help us achieve more of these places in our country but, we are not keeping this to ourselves. We also aim to make this project international so we could make the world clean and green once again.

To sum it up, ”My Pet, My Tree Program” aims on teaching young children the best ways to make the world better again and also making our world safer to live in again. It may seem impossible but we are sure that this will help on decreasing climate change because what Earth needs more now are the tall healthy green TREES. Climate change is caused by the heating of the earth because of too many of Greenhouse gasses (GHG) and of the primary reason is CO2 emission trapped in the atmosphere and having less trees to absorb them so we hope that this program of ours will be launched nationwide to have more trees and lessen the carbon dioxide to make the earth cooler.
